CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League announced that Cincinnati Steam reliever Will Detwiler (College of Charleston) is the GLSCL Pitcher of the Week for Week 4.
Detwiler made two relief appearances during the week going four and 2/3 innings and did not allow a run earning a save versus the Hamilton Joes on July 3. Detwiler earned his first save of the season, going two innings in a 5-3 win over the first-place Joes.
The Camden, South Carolina native pitched the second game of a double header on June 30 against the Lorain County Ironmen. Detwiler went two and 2/3 innings and struck out four batters.
For the season, Detwiler has made six relief appearances with a 1-1 record and a 4.50 ERA. In 10 innings of work, Detwiler has struck out 11 batters and walked just four.
