2011 (Freshman): First recipient of the Driesen/Browne Endowment Scholarship … Started eight games and held a .300 batting average … Starting shortstop in the first three games of the season … Started at third base in four of the last five games of the regular season … Stole five bases, only being caught once … Season-high three hits came in a 12-inning game at St. Bonaventure (5/13) … Scored two runs twice, on the same day (2/18) against Bradley and at Lipscomb … In summer ball, was a South Division Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League All-Star with the Cincinnati Steam.

High School: 2009 first team all-state selection at Archbishop Moeller High School in Cincinnati, under Head Coach Tim Held … Guided Moeller to its fifth state championship as the winning pitcher in the 2009 OHSAA Division I State Championship game, defeating Pickerington North 5-2 in Columbus’ Huntington Park (6/4/09) … Led Moeller to three consecutive Greater Catholic League South Division titles with a combined 79-14 record as a three-year letterman … Three-time GCL South All-Star; 2009 First Team and Second Team in 2008 and 2010 … Guided Moeller to the state semifinals with a 9-0 record, 1.96 ERA and 45 strikeouts on the mound as a senior captain in 2010 … Hit .364 with 39 RBI and a team-best five homeruns from the plate in 2010 … Finished  2009  with a 8-1 record and 1.94 ERA and a .396 batting average … Decorated junior season included First Team OHSAA All-State honors and Honorable Mention All-American honors by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper … Hit .330 with 18 RBI as a sophomore – had just three appearances on the mound with six strikeouts and a 1-0 record … Academic All-Ohio … Maintained 4.0 GPA.
