Parker Wormsley (Tennessee) continued the rally in the fifth with a lead off double down the right field line. Matt Williams (Cincinnati/CHCA) later drove in Wormsley and then scored on a wild pitch cutting the Copperhead’s lead 5-3.
With ducks on the pond and two outs, Robby Sunderman (Dayton/Moeller) ripped one into right field to bring in two runs to tie the game. Nick Priessman (Eastern Illinois/Colerain) followed with a well-hit double into deep center field to give the Steam the lead 7-5.
